Content Banks: Ultimate content strategy

Save Time and Stress Less with a Personal Content Bank

Imagine having a treasure chest of ideas, notes, and drafts that are always ready to help you tackle essay writing for your General Paper. That is a content bank. Having one will:

  • give you control and confidence by organizing your references and ideas systematically.

  • keep your mind clear as you won't need to keep everything in your head - that exhausts!

  • lessen the stress of looming deadlines.

That said, I hate to break the news that time really is of the essence. The earlier you start, the more you will understand. Hence, you build perspective and independent thought. Also, I do not advocate memorising facts and figures but understanding key issues and contexts. Afterall, many GP questions now demand a sweep of interrelated issues, making it foolish to try to “spot” essay questions.

Building Your Content Bank

  1. Google Docs: Create a simple spreadsheet to organize your notes, essays, and references. That way, you can access and edit from any device.

  2. Note-taking Apps: Use apps like Evernote or Notion for advanced features that help you categorize and retrieve articles, quotes, and ideas easily.
